'Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3' Release Date News: Game Launch Pushed Back Again to Late April

Developer CI Games has just announced that they are again delaying the release of "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" to late April.

According to a press release dated March 6, the decision to hold the game for at least three more weeks was made after the company and the development team had an internal discussion. CI Games said they decided they would need some more time to apply "some final implementations" based on the information and feedback they gathered with the beta that went live last month.

In the press release, CI Games chief executive officer Marek Tyminski said, "We've worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series." He added, "While it's an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one."

In the end, CI Games thanked fans and players of the "Sniper: Ghost Warrior" franchise and promised that the wait for its third installment would all be worth it.

The game was initially announced in 2014 and was pegged to be released in Jan. 27 this year. However, in October 2016, CI Games admitted through a press release, "We're making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans."

In the October 2016 announcement, CI Games reiterated that one of their main goals with the upcoming game is to make sure it runs smoothly on all gaming platforms where "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" will be available. The video game company, which is based in Warsaw, Poland, admitted that at the time, they "still have some important work left on optimizing the game."

CI Games also maintained that "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" is "biggest project" they ever had to work on.

The game that promises to deliver a tale of brotherhood and betrayal amid a bloody civil war is now scheduled to launch on April 25.
