Snooki Instagram Slams Residents of Jersey Shore for Protesting 'Snooki & JWoww' Production

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is engaged in a battle with the residents of the Pelican Island Property Owners Association, due to her wish to continue filming the reality show "Snooki & JWoww." Both sides have spoken out and refuse to back down.

Members of the Pelican Island Property Owners Association met Monday night and decided to hire a lawyer to investigate the possibility of MTV's filming the series in their area. Several residents want to halt all production of the series and do not want their living quarters turned into a public spectacle.

"It's all on hold," Angelica Cortinas, secretary of the group, told The Star-Ledger. "We'll follow up after tomorrow's meeting. Let's hope tomorrow's meeting is productive."

However, not one to remain quiet, Polizzi has spoken out about her upset at the town's plans.

"Adults are trying to ban my son, fiancé, and I from enjoying our summer at the shore," Polizzi posted on her Instagram page. "Grow up, get over yourself and move on. This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There's much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood."

One of the biggest contentions between Polizzi and the Owners Association is that the group is still rebuilding homes due to Hurricane Sandy. They fear that progress will be held up if MTV moves in.

"I'll camp out on the freaking street if I have to," Council President James Byrnes told the Ledger. "I'm going to be as close to this as I can."

"We have nothing against free enterprise or anything like that," a resident added. "But you have to have concerns about where this is going to take place. It's going to take place in a residential neighborhood and it's going to be overwhelming to the residents."

MTV has not commented on the situation but gave the green light for a third season of "Snooki & JWoww."
