Snooki Replacing Khloe Kardashian on 'X Factor'? (VIDEO)

Snooki reportedly wants to replace Khloe Kardashian as host of "X Factor" following claims that the reality TV star has been fired.

The MTV star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, has not yet received any formal offers to host the reality TV talent show, but producers are said to be in talks, according to RumorFix.com.

"Sources tell RumorFix that the petite Jersey girl is very interested in hosting a reality show and has openly discussed the possibility of joining Mario Lopez on The X-Factor with her friends, who are encouraging her to go for it," the website wrote.

In February it was claimed that after just one season Kardashian, 28, had been let go. The reality TV star often appeared to struggle with the hosting gig by missing queues and awkwardly flirting with executive producer and judge Simon Cowell.

"They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe," a source told the New York Post.

Kardashian has not yet addressed the axing reports, but a cryptic tweet appeared to confirm her departure from the show.

"Sometimes stepping outside of your comfort zone helps you grow! So grateful for the opportunity! It is what it is...Either way I had FUN!" Kardashian tweeted March 10.

Meanwhile critics took to social networking site Twitter on Friday to weigh in on the prospect of Snooki joining the reality TV show. The former "Jersey Shore" star is yet to address the hosting reports.

"Yesss!! Get Snooki on the show, I will watch. She's funny and super cute!! #xfactor," Wayne tweeted.

"So Snooki's replacing Khloe K on X-Factor? Not gonna lie, she'd prob do a way better job #justsayin," Carlos tweeted.

"X Factor is so lame. Why not just hire an actual trained host on the show instead of these z-class celebs smh," Gloryaha tweeted.
