Sofia Vergara Uses Social Media to Draw Extra Attention

Sofia Vergara, the Colombian actress that has risen to fame with ABC's "Modern Family," has once again drawn attention to herself with various social media postings.

Although Vergara is one of the highest-paid actresses on television, she has not been afraid to admit that her success has been largely based upon cashing in on her looks.

"To be a pretty girl ... has opened many doors for me. I would be ungrateful to say it's all because of my brains and my talent," the Colombian actress told Lucky magazine in October.

Sofia Vergara recently launched a shapewear line to her fashion collection at Kmart this month and the 40-year-old's nine-piece line of shapers will be released at around 800 Kmart stores.

"My shapewear launch is very exciting and really fun for me," Vergara said in a statement.

The Colombian actress already has collections at Kmart that include handbags, dresses, sweaters, shoes, boots, jewelry, and home accessories.

"This has been a great adventure starting with clothing and accessories, fine jewelry and watches, and most recently hosiery and underwear," said Vergara. "Now with shapewear, we have covered most of the stuff I've wanted to do."

The Emmy-nominated actress also recently revealed the challenges she is facing as she prepares to wed Nick Loeb as both parties are looking for a subdued and intimate ceremony.

The "Modern Family" star candidly admitted that planning was not one of her strong points, and that an elaborate wedding ceremony was not important.

"I've never had to plan for anything," Vergara told Cosmo magazine. "I know I'm not going to get any more shows like 'Modern Family.' If it ends in five years, it would be great to do movies and focus on things like my Kmart line. Maybe have a kid. But I am going to be working my whole life.
