Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 Specs Rumors: Designs Leaked Online

With the announcement of Sony's newest handsets just around the corner, online leakers are at it again, leaking designs of the two phones that are set to be revealed by the Japanese phone manufacturer. Images of the new Xperia C5 Ultra and the Xperia M5 were found online recently.

The leaked images were released on a Russian tech site called Hi.Tech.Mail.ru on Aug. 3, but as of reporting time, the images have already been taken down.

The two new phones are the much-awaited releases of Sony. The Xperia C5 Ultra is said to be the successor of the Xperia C4. While the C4 only had a 5.5-inch screen, the upcoming phone sports a larger screen at 6 inches. Prior to these recent leaks, another report came out about a leaked user's manual for the Xperia C5 Ultra that indicated that the new device will come with a bezel-free display and that both of the phone's cameras will be equipped with a flash.

According to the recent leak, another improvement found on the C5 is its bigger battery capacity, which is now at 2,930 mAh compared to the C4's 2,600 mAh battery. When it comes to the phone's cameras, the C5 Ultra will reportedly have a 13-megapixel front-facing wide-angle camera, compared to the C4's 5-megapixel one. Bezel measurement on the new phone is pegged at 0.8 mm, making it bezel-free. Previously on the C4, it measured at 2.2 mm.

Under its hood, the C5 Ultra will run with 2 GB of RAM, an octa-core Media Tek Mt6752 processor and internal storage of 16 GB.

The other phone whose image was leaked was reported to be the Xperia M5. According to the report, it looks much like the Sony Xperia Z3. It is not as big as the C5 Ultra, and therefore looks the same as the rest of the Sony family of devices currently available. It features a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display and like the C5 Ultra, will have 13 megapixel cameras both rear-facing and front-facing.

Under the hood, the M5 will run on an octa-core Media Tek Helio X10 processor with 3 GB of RAM. Internal storage will be at 16 GB, with a microSD slot. It is also said to have IP65/IP68 duster and water resistance certification.

In terms of price, the Xperia C5 Ultra is said to sell at $350, while the Xperia M5 will be around $400.
