The Sony Xperia X is part of the company's X series and it is now being sold on sale at multiple outlets. The smartphone can be bought at Best Buy, Amazon and B&H for $500. As to why the mobile was price-slashed so quickly, reports say it has something to do with its performance.

The Xperia X used to cost $550 but Sony decided to cut $50 to make it more affordable. According to Sony's website, Xperia X comes in four different colors including White, Lime Gold, Rose Gold and Graphite Black. The smartphone has a 2620 mAh battery life which is capable of lasting for 2 days.

Sony Xperia X Performance, Review
The Xperia X is one of Sony's latest flagship and there have been many reviews about it that are mostly mixed. Android Police reviewed the device as having not good enough specs for its price. They noted that the Xperia X does not have any kind of water resistance. The software is buggy and the camera performs so poorly that the HDR cannot be called HDR.

Irish Examiner reviewed Xperia X as being able to deliver its promise of about 2 days worth of battery with medium to heavy usage. But with the camera's performance in low light, they also had the same complaint with Android Police. Focusing on subjects in low-light will be hard to do using Xperia X and night shooting without flash could barely just be possible.
