Sony Xperia Z5 Rumors: Premium Model to Have 23MP Camera and 4K Display? (VIDEO)
The Sony Xperia Z5 just made its first appearance today, less than a week before the Xperia Z5 line is due to be announced at the IFA 2015.
A video interview from French multimedia site Clubic was leaked on YouTube over the weekend, showing the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's 23MP camera and 4K screen, and preempting the smartphone's official announcement at Sony's pre-IFA 2015 press conference on Wednesday.
The video shows an interviewer introducing Sony Mobile France's marketing director, Olivier Terme, who then proceeds to give an overview of the upcoming Xperia Z5 handsets, with particular focus on the high-end Xperia Z5 Premium.

The 5.5-inch Z5 Premium will reportedly feature a 4K LCD 3840 x 2160 resolution display, despite speculations to the contrary, as pointed out in a report on the XperiaBlog which indicates a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution screen, instead.
The Z5 Premium will also pack a 23MP rear camera with 5x digital zoom, a 0.03 second autofocus feature, a higher lowlight performance, and 4K video recording capabilities. It will also feature an 8MP front-facing camera.
Sporting an all-metal body, it will be powered by an octa-core 2.0GHz Snapdragon 810 chipset and an Adreno 430 GPU, both supported by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The flagship handset will be unveiled together with the mid-range 5.2-inch Xperia Z5 with an FHD 720p display, and the budget 4.6-inch Xperia Z5 Compact with an HD 1080p screen resolution.
The three smartphones, similar to the Xperia Z3 Plus, will be waterproof and dustproof, all the way to their uncovered microUSB connectors. They will also come with fingerprint scanners located on the power button, and like the previous Xperia models, will have of two days' worth of battery time.
The Xperia Z5 line is expected to be announced this week when Sony holds its pre-IFA 2015 press conference on September 2.
