Sony Xperia Z5 Specs Rumors & Release Date: To Be Unveiled at IFA 2015 event

Loyal fans of Sony will have something to look forward to in the coming month. The giant tech company is reportedly prepping up to release its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z5. The unveiling will take place on Sept. 4 to 9 during the IFA 2015 event in Berlin, Germany.

One can understand why it seems as if Sony is in a hurry to release their smartphone to the market. According to MNR Daily, the company is trying to "compensate for the overheating complaints that it received with the Sony Xperia Z3 Plus, which is known as Sony Xperia Z4 in Japan." It can be recalled that although the Xperia Z3 was highly anticipated, this was overshadowed by the fact that people complained the phone overheated which led to performance and battery life issues This was caused by the unit's Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.

Now, the company is dashing to release the next gen Sony Xperia Z5 to the market. As reported by Latino Post, the specs about the latest Xperia model still remain to be rumors. However, reports say that the model is expected to be run by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It will have a fingerprint scanner and will come with the latest version of the Android, as reported by Gospel Herald. The device is also said to feature a 3GB RAM with a 32GB internal storage. The phone's cameras are a 20.7MP main camera and a 8MP front-facing camera. The device also has 5.5 inch display.

According to Android Authority, Xperia Z5 is expected to feature the "4K X-Reality" technology which can be viewed as the company's method to go up against its other rivals in the mobile industry. The technology is also reported to be used for content upscaling in the company's high resolution TV range.

Even as Sony has been busy gearing up for the launch of Xperia Z5 in September, a recent leak suggests that the Japanese tech giant is in the works also of unveiling another variant dubbed as the Xperia Z5 Plus or Xperia Z5 Ultra. As to how true this is, fans will have to wait until launching time.
