Sony Xperia Z5 vs. Z6 Specs Rumors
Sony is expected to follow up its Xperia Z5 with the release of a brand-new flagship phone, dubbed the Xperia Z6, this year. Sony has yet to make the official announcement regarding the new device, but leaks are already discussing the Xperia Z6's specifications.

Japanese website DoCoMo released the following Sony Xperia Z6 specifications. Readers are reminded that these are considered rumors as of the moment.
Whereas the Sony Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitative touch screen display, DoCoMo claims the upcoming Xperia Z6 will have a 5.2-inch IPS WQHD display. The former has 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution, while the latter is expected to have 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution.
The Xperia Z6 is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Although the Xperia Z5 is upgradable to Android 6.0, it's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip. The Z6 will also reportedly have an Adreno530 GPU.
The Sony Xperia Z5 comes with 3 GB RAM that's expandable up to 200 GB through a microSD card. The Xperia Z6, however, will have more storage space with 4 GB RAM, which can be expanded up to 512 GB through a microSD card.
In terms of camera, the Sony Xperia Z5 has a 23-megapixel main camera and a 5.1-megapixel secondary camera. Meanwhile, the Xperia Z6 will purportedly have the same 23-megapixel main camera with f2.0 aperture.

Earlier rumors placed the Sony Xperia Z6 release at this year's Mobile World Congress that will be held in Barcelona, Spain. However, new rumors suggest this won't be the case. The Japanese company typically launches its big products at the IFA in Berlin. Last year, Sony unveiled the Xperia Z5 at the IFA and pundits believe it will be the same for the Xperia Z6.
However, although the Xperia Z6 won't be unveiled at the MWC 2016, recent rumors say Sony will instead announce a new midrange device in the upcoming tech conference.
