Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact Now on Sale in the U.S.
The Sony Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact are now on sale in various electronics shops in the United States, based on a blog post by the phone maker.
Based on Sony's blog, customers can now purchase the Xperia Z5 and its smaller version Xperia Z5 Compact for $600 and $500, respectively. The unlocked GSM smartphones are available at Amazon, B&H Photo, Best Buy, and other electronics stores in the United States, according to Android Police.
Amazon had previously sold international versions of the Z5 and Z5 compact, but those devices do not have U.S. warranty. Best Buy, on the other hand, only has the Z5 Compact on hand, while B&H has all the current U.S. models as of this writing.

The Sony Xperia Z5 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display with the company's distinct rectangular glass sandwich. The device runs the Snapdragon 810 chip with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card slot. The 7.3mm smartphone is powered by a 2,900 mAh battery, the report details.
The Xperia Z5 boasts of a 23-megapixel rear shooter, but still uses the Android 5.1.1 operating system. Other notable features of the Sony smartphone are WiFi support for PlayStation 4 Remote Play, Hi-Res Audio, automatic headset compensation, and digital noise cancellation, the PC Mag reports.
In addition, buyers can avail of an offer to download three movies for free. The movie choices include "Hotel Transylvania 2" and "The Walk."
The Z5 Compact shares almost the same set of specs with those in the Z5. Its differences with its bigger cousin include its 2 GB of RAM, 720p display, thicker width at 8.9 m, and 2,700 mAh battery, the report relays.
While the Xperia Z5 is one of Sony's top-of-the-line devices, it does not have the fingerprint reader that can be seen in some international models, the report adds.
The Sony Xperia Z5 is available in black, white, green, and gold color variants. The Z5 Compact, on the other hand, is available in black, white, yellow, and coral.
