Sony's Vote to Play Is Back: One of These Titles Will Be Free in March

The rumors turned out to be true. Sony has brought back Vote to Play.

In a post at the PlayStation Blog, PS Plus Content Partnership Manager Greg Lewickyj announced the program's return.

"By popular demand, Vote to Play is back and the voting begins on February 9th!" Lewickyj said. "The candidates include Action Henk!, Assault Android Cactus, and Broforce. The game that secures the most votes will be added to the March monthly games lineup for PlayStation Plus members."

To vote, PS Plus members have to log into their PSN account and access the Vote to Play from the PS Plus section. Otherwise, they can also go to "What's New" or visit the PS Plus section in the PlayStation Store. Voting runs from Feb. 9 to 22, 2016.

Here's a brief look at what these three games are like.

"Action Henk!"

This game from developer RageSquid and publisher Curve Digital requires timing and momentum to win. It's described as a "light-hearted racer" that involves running, jumping, and butt-sliding through different toy room environments. Players take on the role of "past-their-prime" action figures.

"Assault Android Cactus"

This arcade/shooter game from developer Witch Beam has a "unique battery mechanic" instead of lives. It features "transforming stages, massive boss battles and a diverse cast of characters" to save the day. The title also supports Shareplay that allows players to let a friend join for up to an hour at a time.

"Broforce"

From developer Free Lives and publisher Devolver Digital comes "Broforce," a game about global security, massive explosions, terrorists, and freedom. The game is inspired by classic movies and classic games, specifically the 80s-era action heroes. It features online co-op so players can join together as a team and defeat terrorists and a host of monsters all in the name of freedom.
