'South Park' Season 21 Spoilers: Episode 4 Features One of the Best Parodies on the Series; Show Attacks Facebook CEO

Known for its slightly dark humor and unusual representation of current events, "South Park" has amassed quite the following in its long run. Now on season 21, the showrunners behind the popular animated series as decided to take a jab at one of the world's largest companies: Facebook.

Considering the company's recent criticisms regarding the propagation of fake news and their insensitivity to Puerto Rico's plight after hurricane Maria, "South Park" season 21 episode 4 could not have come at a more optimal time.

According to Esquire, the cameo of toon version of Facebook's chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg. The premise of the episode began when Coon and Friends were victimized by the fake news that was spreading over the social media site. It was propagating information that portrayed Coon and Friends as a group of heroes who are uncivilized, as they were allegedly peeing on each other. The spread of the news was ruining their plan of building a superhero franchise.

They contacted Zuckerberg and raised the issue to him. Coon and Friends told him that Facebook has become a toxic environment wherein people can spread misinformation that can potentially destroy their nation and community. The toon-version of Zuckerberg replied by saying that he is not at fault.

Den of Geek described the Zuckerberg of "South Park" as tone deaf and an apt portrayal of the current controversy that Facebook is dealing with. The episode is a parody of the recent investigation in which it was found that Facebook was instrumental in the propagation of fake news from Russian accounts that had to do with politically sensitive topics, such as race and sexuality. Considering the timing of "South Park" season 21, episode 4, fans hailed the conversation between Coon and Friends and Zuckerberg as one of the best parodies on the show.

"South Park" season 21, episode 5 is scheduled to air on Oct. 18.
