'South Park: The Fractured But Whole' Release Date, News: PSN Preorders Get Refunded; Is the Game Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Ubisoft Entertainment's "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" has been pushed back from its previously announced March 2017 release. That alone has got fans worried, and another event has got players who preordered even more agitated.

In a discussion over at Reddit, those who preordered via PlayStation Network (PSN) are getting a refund without being asked to confirm if they wanted to or not; they just see their wallet balance automatically give the amount back. This sudden action from Sony caused more speculations from the community, wondering if the move is on the console's side or Ubisoft's.

GameZone has clarified, however, that this is a standard procedure for PSN when the release dates for the game changes indefinitely. This simply means that the game is no way in trouble, so fans of the title can take a breather and relax while waiting for a confirmed launch date.

As for Xbox One, no reports have been mentioned about getting their preorders refunded, and so all that's left to do is to wait.

Way back in February, a statement on the game's official website has confirmed the postponement of the game's release. It did mention that they are working on creating a better experience, thus more time was needed though no concrete reason was provided. Perhaps a new rumor could shed more light on the reason for the delay, and it may prove to be exciting news.

A tweet from South Park's Twitter account has cryptically teased what could possibly be a port to the Nintendo Switch. It didn't specifically mention any game or if it is indeed going to the Switch, but it has captured the attention of fans. The hashtag #blizzard2017 could also mean that it may release sometime in the winter, but these are all hunches for the time being.

As always, all that's left to do is to wait and see.
