Spice Girl Banned: X Factor Bosses Block Mel B's Australia's Got Talent Appearance (VIDEO)

Spice Girl Mel B has been banned from Australia's Got Talent, according to reports out this week.

The former Spice Girl singer, known affectionately by fans as "Scary Spice," was reportedly banned after a dispute between rival networks.

Melanie Brown was working for the Seven Network, and was scheduled to feature on an Australian version of popular reality TV singing show, "The X Factor."

However, the Spice Girl also signed a contract with a rival network, Channel Nine, to appear on their "Australia's Got Talent" show. That decision upset network bosses over at the Seven Network, who proceeded to take Mel B to court saying that she breached the terms of her contract.

They claimed that contractually Mel B was prohibited from appearing on a rival show until the end of 2013.

The Seven Network applied for an injunction from the court to block Mel B's appearance on Australia's Got Talent, and the injunction was granted.

The injunction order will last until at least 2014, which means that Mel B will not be able to film the show as scheduled this summer.

Judge, Justice David Hammerschlag ruled: "Under the agreement, Mel has an obligation to provide her exclusive services to Seven, and Seven is entitled to her performance of this obligation. I see no reason why she should not be ordered to keep her word that she would not work for anyone but Seven in Australia in 2013."

A Seven spokeswoman has also said, "(The network) welcomes the decision of the court upholding its contract with Mel B and preventing her working for a competitor in breach of contract in 2013."

The Seven Network had originally indicated that it wanted to use Mel B sporadically throughout the upcoming series of The X Factor. However, their relationship has been strained by the recent legal wrangling, and it is not unsure how things will proceed between the former Spice Girl and the network.
