'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Release Date, News: Toys Tease More Details About the Film
After Spider-Man (Tom Holland) made his debut as an Avenger in "Captain America: Civil War," everyone has been wanting to know more about his solo movie which takes place after the abovementioned film. With two months passing after an official trailer was released, Spider-Man toys are teasing more information about the movie.
For one, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is sporting a newly designed Ironman suit. In contrary to the usual red and gold accents, this one has a tinge of silver around the abdomen, arms and thighs. Whether it carries a new set of skills and upgrades is something that's still up in the air, but one cannot deny that it certainly looks badass.
Speaking of details, Coming Soon was able to get photos of more Spider-Man merchandise from Hot Toys. An action figure featuring the web-slinger sporting a hoodie is somewhat expected, but what's rather interesting is a Spider-Man model with the mask off that has an uncanny resemblance with Holland's facial features. It looks like the promotion for the movie is certainly upping the ante.
The friendly hero certainly has had much iteration in the past and has been played by two more heroes before Holland, but what the other two don't have is the current one's humor. Despite the Marvel Cinematic Universe's characters not being short of quick wit and funny bones, Holland's character brings a teenage side that is rather cute to watch.
In the trailer, Peter Parker returns to school after being recruited in the Avengers, yet despite his attempts to concentrate, he finds himself thinking of proving himself worthy of walking alongside other heroes. Despite Tony Stark's warning of trying to lay low, he gets himself in a skirmish against a new villain, Vulture (Michael Keaton).
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" swings into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
