'Spider-Man' Reboot News: A New Direction for Peter Parker Featuring the Sinister Six
Marvel and Sony Pictures are currently working on a "Spiderman" reboot, and news has emerged the next solo Peter Parker film will feature a movie that will be a departure from the previous franchises.
With a new "Spider-Man" reboot in the works, Marvel and Sony Pictures are reportedly going in a different creative direction. With the new Spiderman rumored to appear in 2018 for "The Avengers: Civil War" to establish the superhero's connection with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a new path has reportedly been forged for the franchise.
Unlike the previous films where viewers were bombarded with the familiar origin story of Peter Parker getting bitten by a genetically altered arachnid, the new "Spiderman" will not retread the backstory in its new packaging. Fans will have to take the new Spidey as existing in the present.
The new Peter Parker, like Andrew Garfield's character, will still be in high school. Rumors have emerged Sony is currently seeking a much younger actor to play Spidey, with the idea that the actor will be expected to "grow into the role" as the franchise is intended to extend to multiple films.
Due to his youth, Spider Man may experience some discrimination when he attempts to join the Avengers, and as he tries to find a way to add "Avenger" to his resume, he will end up tangling with The Sinister Six – Chameleon, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Scorpion, Shocker, and Vulture – who will be introduced in Spidey's new franchise in preparation for a spin-off of their own.
Also with the new Wall Crawler's reported appearance with the rest of the Avengers in "Civil War," rumors surrounding his solo film will see him getting into a fight with Iron Man, who will be in the new "Spiderman" reboot, as well.
