'SpongeBob SquarePants' Halloween Special: 'The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom' Release Date and Trailer
Aside from the action that most kids expect to see in "Power Rangers Ninja Steel," TV network Nickelodeon is set to bring another treat for Halloween. This time, it will come in the form of the naïve yet fun-loving SpongeBob, who has managed to capture the hearts of children all around the globe. The stop-motion Halloween special has released its first trailer, and if it is anything to go by, Halloween might not be so scary after all.
The trailer features all the hard work that the showrunners poured into the "SpongeBob SquarePants" Halloween special titled, "Boo-Kini Bottom Super Trailer." Given that it is a full episode made from stop-motion, many fans, young and old, are expecting to see something good and unique. Furthermore, it seems that Patrick will continue being the wisest character, who gives good advice. The trailer featured the oblivious starfish saying that the only thing that fans should fear is themselves.
Further reports on "The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom" reveal that the cast is as follows: Tom Kenny as SpongeBob, Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star, Roger Bumpass as Squidward, Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs, and Carolyn Lawrence as Sandy Cheeks. The cast and crew attended this year's San Diego Comic-Con, where they were eager to show the fans how "SpongeBob SquarePants" Halloween special came to be.
"The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom" will also feature Brian Doyle-Murray as the Flying Dutchman, whose sole reason for coming to town is to scare people. Unfortunately for him, it seems that SpongeBob will find the situation funny.
"The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom" was executive produced by Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller. It was produced at Screen Novelties, Los Angeles, where the crew used 15 boxes of cereal to create texture, eight pounds of glitter for decoration, and more than a hundred popsicle sticks to create the rollercoaster.
"The Legend of Bookini Bottom" is set to air on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. EDT on Nickelodeon.
