Square Enix Celebrates One Year Anniversary With A Sale On Its Games
It's been a year since Square Enix's North American Store went online, catering to gamers and players of its video games, most of which are considered among the best triple-A titles in the gaming industry these days. To celebrate this milestone, the store has launched an anniversary sale that brings huge discounts to almost every game that Square Enix has published, and this goes for all platforms – PC, PS4, Xbox One and even Nintendo 3DS.
According to a Tech Times report, the selection of games that are being offered with discounts is quite wide, giving gamers so much to choose from. The sale is currently running and will last until February 21, Sunday.
The report, however, warns gamers to choose their games wisely, as not all games on sale are necessarily good buys. It says that the sale is good for those who are looking for classic titles or older games which are no longer readily available online, but can be bought for cheap on the online store. Some examples it mentioned are "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII" and "Chrono Trigger DS."
As much as 50% off is being offered not only on older releases, but there are also discounts on new game releases as well. According to another report in Attack of the Fanboy, "Just Cause 3" is one of these games, which can now be bought for $44.99. Other new games on sale are "Life is Strange" Limited Edition for $39.99, "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward" for only $19.99. Games in the "Deus Ex" series are also among those on sale.
In addition to the wide range of games to choose from, a free "Final Fantasy" lanyard will also be given away for free for those who are purchasing physical copies that are over $20. This will also come with 50 reward points. For those who are purchasing "Just Cause 3" during the sale, a promo bag is in store for them. Those who are availing of "Life is Strange" will get a $10 Square Enix store coupon.
