St Louis Cardinals vs San Francisco Giants Live Stream: Watch Online MLB NLCS Playoffs (8PM ET)

The St Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants will begin the National League Championship Series on Sunday evening. Game 1 of the NLCS commences at 8.07 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via one of the packages listed below.

This is a match up between the last two World Series Champions, and should be an exciting series.

The history between these two teams is abundant; the Giants and Cardinals faced off in 1987 in a memorable and somewhat scrappy seven game series. It went all the way to Game 7 with the Cardinals coming out victors with Jose Oquendo's three-run home run off Atlee Hammaker being the dramatic highlight.

The Cardinals have not had it all their own way, however, and the Giants gained revenge in the 2002 NLCS, taking the series in five games. That game marked the Giants' first NL pennant since the famous "Shot Heard Around the World" in 1951.

Both teams are used to succeeding, with the Cardinals attempting to claim their third championship in the past seven seasons, where as San Francisco are trying to claim their second in the last three years.

The Cardinals have already had a dramatic season, defeating the Washington Nationals to make it through to the NLCS. It had looked like St Louis had blown their chance, being 6-0 down in Game 5 against the team with the best record in the major leagues this year. However, they performed a dramatic comeback to eventually take the series 9-7 and break Washington hearts.

The Giants have also made it here by performing their own dramatic comeback. They became only the eighth team to win the five game series having gone 2-0 down against the Cincinnati Reds after Game 2. They are the first to accomplish the feat on the road.

Game 1 of the National League Championship Series between the St Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants will be broadcast on Fox from 8.07 p.m. ET.
