'Star Fox Zero' Game Rumor: Game Release Date To Be Delayed Anew?

After "Star Fox Zero's" release did not push through as scheduled last year, it seems that gamers who are waiting for it may need to extend their patience a little longer as the game may not hit the market on its already-declared release date, April 22.

Speculations of another delay in the release of the game started to surface when one French game retailer, Micromania, listed July 15 as the game's release date. According to WCCF Tech, there is a high possibility that the release date has been moved again since July 15 is a Friday, the day of the week when games hit the European shelves.

While it is true that other retailers have not earmarked the said date for the release of the game, WCCF opined that there is a high possibility that what Micromania listed is valid. After all, basing it on Micromania's past records, it had correctly pinpointed certain things, such as the PlayStation 3 Slim console, the White Xbox One, and the Sunset Overdrive Xbox One bundle. However, caution has to be exercised as Nintendo has not released an official statement yet.

On the other hand, iDigital Times said that there is no conclusive evidence yet that "Star Fox Zero" will be delayed again. It pointed out that a single major retailer changing the release date of the game is not a valid reason for those waiting for the game to believe that its release schedule will be delayed anew, much more that the reason why the retailer changed the date on its listing remains unknown.

While iDigital Times underscored the possibility that Micromania may have some exclusive knowledge on the release of "Star Fox Zero," it stressed that Nintendo does not have a reputation of delaying the release of its games for a few months. If a delay does occur, the company takes it upon itself to inform the public and does not convey the information through one of its retailers.

"Star Fox Zero" is being developed by Nintendo and PlatinumGames, which is also the brains behind many other sought-after games, such as the "Bayonetta" series, "Vanquish," "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance" and many more. Once released and played, the game will enable players to see things through Fox's eyes and conquer their enemies using sophisticated flying techniques.
