'Star Wars Battlefront' February Update Features Bowcaster, Homing Shot Buffs
Matt Everet, a.k.a. Sledgehammer70, shared some details regarding "Star Wars Battlefront" February update on Friday. Electronic Arts' community manager says the game's upcoming Patch 1.05 will re-tweak the Bowcaster and Homing shot, among other fixes.
Everet shares that EA has been listening to feedback from its community of players and did a lot of data mining to determine how the "Star Wars Battlefront" January update fared. The publisher found that a few weapons that received balancing fixes were slightly weaker than they should be. To remedy the situation, EA will include brand-new tweaks to affected weapons that should "bring them back in line" to where the publisher intended.
"I have a feeling the community will be excited to hear the Bowcaster and Homing shot will be getting further tweaks to bring them back in line where we feel they should be," Everet said over at the official "Star Wars Battlefront" forum. "Yes, these would be considered 'buffs' but we're not going into specifics until we reveal the full patch details."
In addition to the Bowcaster and Homing shot tweaks, the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront" update will include barrage damage adjustments, DLT19 adjustments, weapon buffs against air vehicles, and more.
EA has not announced the exact date when Patch 1.05 will roll out, though it is expected that the February update will arrive later this month.
After this month's update, "Star Wars Battlefront" players will soon be looking forward to receiving two new maps and the first of the paid DLCs next month. The DLC arriving in March is the first of four expansion packs included in the Season Pass. The DLC is called Outer Rim and will take players to Sullust and Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. Like the February update, EA has not revealed the DLC's release date as of this writing.
