'Star Wars Battlefront I' Deals: Season Pass Now Free on All Platforms; Ultimate Edition Offered at Huge Discount
About two months before the release of "Star Wars Battlefront II," Electronic Arts is letting fans get a free copy of the first game's Season Pass across all supported platforms.
In a move to possibly build up the hype for the upcoming release of "Star Wars Battlefront II," EA has allowed players to download the entire Season Pass for the first game on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (requires Xbox Live Gold subscription) without costing the players anything.
It is important to note though that to access the Season Pass, players need to have the base game first. Luckily, the "Star Wars Battlefront" Ultimate Edition is also available with a huge discount on all gaming platforms mentioned.
Aside from the base game, the "Star Wars Battlefront" Ultimate Edition comes with the Season Pass, the DL-44 blaster famously known as the weapon of Han Solo, an Ion Grenade, an Ion Torpedo, and a couple of exclusive emotes namely Ion Shock and Victory.
For PC users, they can get the Ultimate Edition by signing up with Origin Access and paying only $5.81. PS4 players will not need a PS Plus account to purchase it for only $5.09. Meanwhile, only Xbox Live Gold subscribers are eligible to buy the game package on the Xbox Store at a discounted price of only $4.50.
Xbox players who want to purchase the game's Ultimate Edition at the discounted price can first get an Xbox Live Gold monthly subscription for $9.99. That will bring up the total cost of purchase to $14.49 – still a 50 percent discount from "Star Wars Battlefront" Ultimate Edition's regular price of $29.99.
In the Origin Access page, EA says the promo is up for a limited time only but does not indicate a specific schedule. However, at the PS Store, Sony says the free Season Pass promo lasts through Oct. 5 at 11 p.m. while the discounted Ultimate Edition is offered until Sept. 18 at 11 p.m. only.
The "Star Wars Battlefront II" will be released on Nov. 17 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
