'Star Wars: Battlefront' Release Date News: New Multiplayer Modes Not Available in Beta Version

Following the release of details about Luke Skywalker's powers last month, four new multiplayer modes have been introduced this week for fans to look forward to in the upcoming debut of "Star Wars: Battlefront."

The four new modes are: Blast, Cargo, Droid Run, and Supremacy, and will be added to the previously announced multiplayer modes namely Drop Zone, Fighter Squadron, Hero Battle, and Walker Assault.

IGN revealed the new modes during its hands-on review of the game's beta mode. The outlet noted that while the new modes were visible in the beta version, they were grayed out and had the words "Not available in beta." Also, the four modes were not officially announced nor detailed by the game's developer.

The revelation of the new modes implies that EA and DICE still have a lot of news to reveal either ahead of the game's release or upon its launch set for next month, according to the gaming outlet. The details on what each mode involves are yet unknown, but fans and players are already looking forward to the adventure.

Meanwhile, IGN has also revealed its insights about the game based on the beta version. In the review, the gaming experts gave praise to the various modes already available for play. In particular, the review noted that the Drop Zone, which allows for an 8-vs-8 match in the horizon, is more likely the best mode to be explored.

While Walker Assault, with a gameplay that allows for 40 players, is one worth of glory as well, IGN explained that Drop Zone's ability to make players feel their worth and value when it comes to contributing to the team's win or loss is what really makes the mode much more spectacular than the rest.

With four zones already available for a fun ride, plus four new modes yet to be revealed, fans are encouraged to stay put until "Star Wars: Battlefront" unleashes for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Nov. 17.
