'Star Wars: Battlefront' Teases Fans with New Character, Match Length Clarified by DICE

Fans who have been waiting for more updates of "Star Wars: Battlefront" are in for a guessing game as publisher EA has taken to social media to hint of a new major character. As noted in VG 24/7, the official Twitter account of EA Star Wars posted a teaser photo yesterday saying in the caption, "Boba Fett, Darth Vader, & Luke Skywalker are yours to command. There are more Heroes & Villains to come. Who's next?"

The question of who will join the battlefield along with Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker has made fans come up with their own guesses beginning with the most obvious choice, Han Solo. Games Radar wrote that the "quick-witted scoundrel is great in a tight spot." But then the site noted that Solo's skills may not be good enough compared to the galaxy's best bounty hunter, a Sith Lord and a Jedi Knight.

Considering the clues though, like there are already two villains and one hero in the roster, the next one might just be from the good side. Can it be Princess Leia? Or maybe it's Yoda or Chewbacca? One thing is for sure, "Battlefront" will stick to the events of the original "Star Wars" trilogy so the next character couldn't be Mace Windu or Poe Dameron. Fans will then just have to stay tuned for an update soon.

Meanwhile, the game's developer DICE has made some clarifications regarding the match length for the "Supremacy" game mode, reports Ecumenical News. They announced that the match doesn't necessarily have to be shorter. It "could even lead into an endless battle between the Rebels and the Empire." says the report.

"Clarification on the Supremacy blog: each time a control point is claimed, time is added," DICE lead multiplayer designer, Dennis Brännvall said via Twitter last Aug. 13. "A close Supremacy match can go on forever."

Brännvall did not disclose more details but fans can find out more when "Star Wars: Battlefront" launches on Nov. 17 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.
