'Star Wars Episode 7' news, cast, spoilers: C-3PO Anthony Daniels talks about the secrecy revolving the film

"Star Wars Episode VII" is much awaited by fans of the franchise all over the world. For months, many have struggled continuously to search news about what they could possibly see in the new movie. A lot even resorted to trying to draw out clues and conclusions from the new toy character releases of the franchise to have some sort of idea about what the new installment has to offer.

Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO in the film, recently opened up to The Week UK about why the film has been keeping everything under wraps, and apparently, it's all Disney's fault. In an interview with the Guardian, he went on to say that Disney was obsessed in keeping everything about the latest movie a secret, and describes it to be "ludicrous." He is quoted saying, "For heaven's sake, it's a movie. When I got the script, it was typed in black on paper of the deepest red so you couldn't photocopy it. I got a hangover just reading it."

There has also been a time when Daniels was called out by the studios to take down a tweet after he mentioned about meeting an actor on the set of the upcoming film. He shares, "I said that I'd met so-and-so. An actor who plays a … thing in the film. A character. Immediately I received a message from Disney: 'Remove the tweet! You're not allowed to say that!'" It had apparently all gotten a bit too much for Daniels, as he even went as far as to compare Disney to Kremlin. "Honestly. It's a kind of Kremlin attitude. Look, I know perfectly well not to tell you now what I'm giving you for a Christmas present because it would spoil the surprise. And these films are all about opening the box on Christmas Day."
