Star Wars Episode 8 Release Date, Plot News: New Trailer Set To Be Released This October?
Fans of the Star Wars franchise are patiently waiting for new details regarding the much-awaited upcoming installment, "The Last Jedi."
Spoilers are few and far in-between for "Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi," which is set to hit cinemas this December. After the release of the first trailer in April, both Disney and Lucasfilm have been silent when it comes to promoting the film. However, reports say that new details will be revealed soon via a second trailer that is expected to be released in October.
A source on Twitter known as Star Wars News Net has claimed that the promo will be available on Oct. 9. It was not specified though how the franchise will unveil the said trailer. It can be remembered that the first one was released during the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando.
Meanwhile, rumors have surfaced regarding the identity of the villain, Supreme Leader Snoke.
According to Express, the leaks on the character came from one of "Star Wars" theorist Mike Zeroh's sources. Based on the speculations, Snoke has a number of TIE fighters that are quite similar to Kylo's TIE silencer. One of his guards is said to use a weapon that looks like a whip that contains a shocker at the tip. Some wield a spear or an axe, while the others use a weapon similar to a mini lightsaber. Zero also revealed more details about the Praetorian Guards, specifically about their behavior. As for Snoke, an interesting tidbit about him is that there is a wall hidden behind his throne that contains his collections of artifacts from the Empire before its fall.
"[Snoke's] Praetorian Guards do talk and sound very robotic, unlike the Emperor's royal guards, who are very, very silent in the Original trilogy," the theorist claimed. "Are they droids or are they actually humans underneath that armour? [After all] there are no visors on these characters."
"Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi" will be released in U.S. cinemas on Dec. 15.
