'Star Wars Episode 8' Spoilers: Benicio Del Toro's Character Connected to a Fan-Favorite?
Benicio Del Toro's character in "Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi" has always been shrouded in secrecy and a new leak reveals why this is the case.
It turns out that the role of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor could actually be connected to a fan-favorite character from the original trilogy — the bounty hunter Boba Fett.
YouTuber and prolific "Star Wars" analyst Mike Zeroh called attention to a page called Wikiwand, in which Del Toro's character was listed as Sir Vicrum Fett.
Zeroh said that the listing was changed to TBA or to be announced after the discovery, but it can still be found in the description of the website.
While the prospect of a Fett in "Star Wars: Episode 8" has many fans excited, they are advised to take this with a pinch of salt, especially since there is no way of knowing the credibility of Wikiwand.
It will be exciting to see someone from the Fett clan in new "Star Wars" films. Boba Fett has always been a beloved character. The last time he was seen was in "Star Wars: Episode 6 – Return of the Jedi," where Han Solo (Harrison Ford) accidentally knocked him into the Sarlacc pit.
As for Boba's father Jango Fett, he appeared in "Star Wars: Episode 2: Attack of the Clones," where he was revealed to be the genetic template of the clone army.
Whether or not a third Fett will be in "Star Wars: Episode 8" in the form of Del Toro's character remains to be seen, but this certainly has excited many fans.
There have been a lot of reports and speculations as to who Del Toro will play in "Star Wars: Episode 8." It is being said he is a bad-guy-turned-good while there are rumors he could be the big screen counterpart of Ezra Bridger from "Star Wars: Rebels."
For now, it looks like fans will have to wait for "Star Wars: Episode 8" to hit the theaters in Dec. 15 to see who the actor's character will be.
