'Star Wars Episode 9' Plot News: John Boyega Says Movie May Have 'The War to End All Wars'
"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" has not even hit theaters yet, but tidbits of plot details for the next movie have recently popped up, thanks to actor John Boyega.
Coming Soon recently caught up with Boyega at New York Comic-Con last week for an interview about his latest film titled "Pacific Rim Uprising." Fortunately for the anticipating fans, he was also able to talk about "Star Wars," particularly about the ninth and last film in the trilogy.
While not revealing much about it as he has not even seen the script yet, the actor teased that it may feature the biggest war fans have ever seen in "Star Wars" history.
"I think what's fantastic is it feels like it's coming back full circle. I don't know nothing about the script, the story. I don't know where Finn's going, I don't know where Rey is going, but definitely I feel this is the war to end all wars in this movie," he told the publication and added that he has a lot of questions for director J.J. Abrams. However, he said he has not found a chance to talk to him yet.
Boyega plays the role of Finn, a former stormtrooper. His character first appeared in the 2015 film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which was directed by Abrams.
Given the continuous heated conflict between the First Order and the Resistance, and with Finn going undercover in the enemy's base in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," will he survive it all and return for the closing chapter of the saga?
In other news, movie tickets for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" are reportedly on sale early and are now available for purchase through Showcase Cinemas' mobile application, which is on both iOS and Android.
According to The Verge, the said tickets available from the theater company are for the Dec. 14 screenings, starting at 7 p.m. ET, which is a day before the actual release date of the film.
"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" officially opens in cinemas worldwide on Dec. 15. It is directed by Rian Johnson, and it stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, and of course, the late Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa.
