'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Cast: Take That's Gary Barlow to Appear in Sequel

Take That fans should look out for Gary Barlow in the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," as the singer has confirmed his appearance in the sequel. The only clue he gave, however, was that he is not a stormtrooper.

While appearing as a guest on ITV's "Lorraine" show, Barlow admitted that he is going to be in "The Last Jedi." However, he did not reveal a lot of details about his stint.

"I'm not a stormtrooper but I am in it," he teased, according to BBC.

It can be recalled that Daniel Craig made a cameo appearance as a stormtrooper on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

"I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information (is out there). So me saying that, I've probably just done myself out of a role," Barlow joked.

It was previously reported that rumors were running rampant that a favorite character from the original "Star Wars" movies, Yoda, was going to be in "The Last Jedi." Yoda, a master of the Force, became an iconic character because of his appearance and unique way of speaking.

Speculations of Yoda's return only grew when Frank Oz, the man who brought the character to life in the original films, seemed to hint at it.

"To be true to the people who asked me, and they are kind of my family, I have to say I've been asked not to talk about it," Oz said, according to Variety. "I love Yoda. I would be happy to talk to you about it at the time they let me."

The upcoming sequel is set to continue the story laid out in "The Force Awakens." Fans can also expect Rey's (Daisy Ridley) relationship with Luke (Mark Hamill) to be expounded upon as she trains in the use of the Force.

Fans are equally excited about the upcoming "Star Wars Celebration" in Orlando, which will have special merchandise on sale, including t-shirts with characters like Rey and Finn (John Boyega) on the front.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will premiere in U.S. theaters on Dec. 15.
