'State of Decay 2' Release Date News: Game's Release Date Will Be Announced at E3 2017

The original "State of Decay" was a unique take on the zombie survival genre due to its focus on community-building, and its gameplay was so engaging and addictive. A lot of gamers loved it, but it's time to move on to the second game in the series because "State of Decay 2" is definitely coming out in 2017.

Last week, Undead Labs announced that they will reveal the game's official release date at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2017) on June 13 to 15. The event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. The game was unveiled at E3 2016, so it seems fitting to announce the release date at E3 2017.

"State of Decay 2" is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Players can simply purchase one copy of the game and play it either on a Windows 10 PC or Xbox One. It also allows players to synchronize the progress between the two platforms.

In "State of Decay 2," players will once again build communities in a post-apocalyptic zombie infested world. The game combines elements of role-playing, strategy games, and third-person combat, and it is set in an open-world that lets players explore and gather supplies to help their communities survive.

One new feature in "State of Decay 2" is the online multiplayer mode. Up to four players can join the game and share the spoils. The online mode works on a drop-in/drop-out basis. It should be noted that each player needs to be an Xbox Live Gold member if they want to play online multiplayer on Xbox One.

Right now, Undead Labs is still busy polishing the game before it comes out. The studio has been releasing concept art and screenshots for the past month, and the game looks really good and promising. More details should come out in the coming months.
