Steam 'Exploration Sale' Offers Discounts On Tom Clancy, Assassin's Creed, Fallout; Over 8,000 Games
Popular digital distribution platform Steam has launched its "Exploration Sale" in time for the start of the holiday shopping season. The "Exploration Sale" offers discounts on over 8,000 games available through the online platform, but unlike most sales that only last until Cyber Monday, the Steam sale will run until the morning of December 1, according to a report in IGN.
Discounts on popular game franchises such as the "Tom Clancy" Series, "Assassin's Creed," "Fallout," "Grand Theft Auto," "the Witcher," and the "Company of Heroes" are on offer, some discounting as much 75 to 80 percent off the original game prices.
The sale also has daily "highlighted" deals which are on offer. Aside from these deals, the Steam website also notes that deals are available for around 8,911 games listed in the online store. Some of the newer games however such as Fallout 4 are however not included in the sale.
Aside from the popular action and shooter games, many adventure titles are also offering as much as 40 percent off. These include ARK: Survival Evolved, Darkest Dungeon and Ori and the Blind Forest, as cited in the IGN report.
Another report in Polygon also noted the notable titles that are included in the sale. The third installment of the "Witcher" franchise is down to $29.99, with 50 percent off from its original price. A "Witcher " trilogy is also on offer, which includes "Witcher" Enhanced Edition, "Witcher 2" and "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." A complete season of "Life is Strange" is likewise on sale for only $13.39. Older "Fallout" games such as "Fallout: Las Vegas," "Fallout 3" and "Fallout" Classic Collection are available for less than $10 each. Seasons 1 and 2 of "The Walking Dead" game can also be availed of for only $6.24 each season. The action shooter, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" is also on discount for only $19.99.
The Steam "Exploration Sale" is currently live and will be available until December 1, 10 a.m. PT.
