'Steep' Free Weekend On PS4, Xbox One and PC News: Fiesta Ongoing Until March 13

Gamers may try out Ubisoft's extreme sports game "Steep" for free this weekend. The free trial version will available for all platforms from March 10 to 13.

According to a blog by the video game developer, interested players may start downloading the game from the "Steep" product page on Friday, March 10 at 1 p.m. EST on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One consoles as well as for the PC. The free weekend will end at exactly 1 p.m. EST on Monday, March 13 for PS4 and PC players. For the Xbox One, the trial version will be concluding a few hours earlier at 2:59 a.m. EST on March 13. For those who will be playing online, it is important to note that Ubisoft is requiring players to have a PlayStation Plus or an Xbox Live Gold membership.

The weekend event will give gamers full access to the entire game. This will include trying out the courses in the Alps and in Alaska, which was recently added by the developer through the latest free update. Players can ski, snowboard and paraglide to their hearts' content and experience the open world of winter sports. They will also get the chance to be invited to sponsored events and unlock new challenges along the way. The fierce competition among players will keep them coming for more.

Meanwhile, according to Game Spot, the standard edition of "Steep" would have a 50 percent discount starting on March 10. The Gold edition will be 40 percent off. Those who will be purchasing from Ubisoft's Store will have until March 14 to avail of the discount. Meanwhile, the deal will only be good until March 13 via the Xbox Games Store and until March 20 via the PlayStation Store.
