Steve-O and Elisabetta Canalis Split: 'Needs to Distance Himself'
Former MTV reality star Stephen Glover, better known as Steve-O, has split from girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis after fears that she may affect his health.
Elisabetta Canalis is the former ex-girlfriend of George Clooney and has appeared on several different Italian shows in addition to shows like "Dancing With the Stars."
The former "Jacka--"star, who has a history of drug and alcohol use, began dating Canalis in January. According to a source, the pair has now split because Steve-O is no longer interested in being the life of the party.

"Steve-O dumped Elisbetta over her partying," a source told RadarOnline. "He is extremely serious about his sobriety and did not want to be dating anyone who could jeopardize that.
Steve-O was admitted into a psychiatric hospital in 2008 after sending an email to his friends which suggested that the prankster was considering suicide. Month after his 14-day stint in the hospital for depression, Steve-O pleaded guilty to the possession of cocaine.
The MTV star appeared to regain his career and sobriety in 2009 and close friends have now reported that he is committed to his sobriety. Canalis however, appeared to be a bad influence on the recovering addict.
Despite no longer desiring a relationship, the source told Radar that Steve-O still cared about Canalis and had assisted her in getting help.
"He still really cares about her but can't risk relapsing back into his old ways, so he had to cut her loose. He has hooked her up with some women that he knows to help her try and get back on a stable footing again, and she has been attending meetings," the source confirmed.
Although Canalis is attempting to recover her life as well, Steve-O admitted that he needed distance from the Italian actress.
"Steve-O said he thinks she's committed to getting control of her life again and that he will help her do that, he wants her to control the partying for her own sake. But, in the meantime he needs to distance himself from her," the insider revealed.
