'Stranger Things' Season 2: News and Updates, Time-jump and a Possible 8-bit Video Game
"Stranger Things," a Netflix new sci-fi series which was created by the Duffer Brothers, has gained fans right away after the first season.
One of the reasons for the strong fan following is that the showrunners have already created a brand new world with compelling characters and endless possibilities; they also have claimed that there are already multiple stories for multiple seasons that are worth sharing. Fans who watch the show are instantly hooked by the intriguing plot and the multi-layered characters.
Time Jump
While Netflix has not officially confirmed the second season of the series, there have been reports that there will be a time-jump once the new instalment starts. With the time-jump from the Season 1 finale, producers have come up with an idea of an 80's "Stranger Things" video game to bridge the gap.
Co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer reported that while the possible release of Season 2 will still be a year from the first season and the actors are growing up, they have introduced the idea of the 8-bit video game as a means to revisit the missing year.
Ross noted that the time-jump will actually open up a lot of possibilities, because it will allow fans to speculate on what happened in between the year. He added that as much as the time-jump is for kids, it also can be used to their advantage.
