'Stranger Things' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot News: Eleven Escapes From The Upside Down
Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) sacrificed herself to save her friends from the attack of the Demogorgon in the finale of season 1, but a new clip showed how the mysterious girl managed to escape the Upside Down when "Stranger Things" return for season 2.
In the exclusive clip that was showcased during the MCM Comic Con in London that was posted by E! News, Eleven appeared to have returned in the halls of Hawkins Middle School where she disappeared in the first season by finding a crack in the wall of the Upside Down.
Based on the video, Eleven was still wearing the same pink dress and shaved head that she wore in season 1. But in the promo images for "Stranger Things" season 2, the powerful young girl is already sporting a longer, curly hair. This could mean that there could be a major time jump that will occur in the show's highly-anticipated second installment.
Meanwhile, series creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer revealed one of the challenges that they had to face when negotiating the plot of "Stranger Things" season 2 with the executives of Netflix when they sat down with Wired for an interview.
According to the Duffer Brothers, they relatively had an easier time bringing their concept for the show's second season on the table. Yet they still had difficulties convincing the bosses of the streaming service provider to allow them to incorporate profanities in the show.
"When Netflix saw the first two episodes, they realized this is fine, it's not going to turn off families," Ross stated.
His brother Matt also revealed that they initially accepted defeat and removed all the bad language in the script, until some of the kids hot really disappointed.
"Then I wrote Netflix saying I've got this army of 11 and 12-year-olds and they're pissed off that we cut all the language. At least let us shoot alternate takes. That was, like, the day before we started shooting. And then Netflix said OK," he also said.
Netflix is slated to drop the new season of "Stranger Things" on Friday, Oct. 27.
