'Street Fighter 5' Characters: Capcom Teases Detail on Final Addition to Roster

The "Street Fighter 5" beta test is set to enter its second phase and the final slot in the character roster is about to be filled in.

Capcom teased that the last spot in the "Street Fighter 5" character roster might not come from the "Street Fighter 2." There are hints that Alex, Eagle, and Urien may be the characters that will get to occupy that last spot in the roster, according to Yibada.

During the New York Comic-Con, brand director Matt Dahlgren said he chooses to stay mum about the "Street Fighter 5" characters. However, he said that the final addition to the character roster could come from another game, the report details.

As of now, "Street Fighter 5" has 14 playable characters and there are two more vacant slots in the roster. The first vacant slot is allotted for a new character and the second is reserved for a recurring player. Rumor has it that Urien and Alex are the candidates being considered for the final addition, but there are also some news that Eagle will appear in the upcoming game, the report relays.

Guile, Dudley, Poison, C. Viper, Akuma, and Hugo Abel are also among the rumored candidates for the roster addition. Kuan and Sherry, on the other hand, will reportedly make their first appearance in the series, the report adds.

Capcom said the second beta test for "Street Fighter 5" will run from Oct. 21 to 25 and will include new playable characters Ken Masters, Vega, Necalli, and others. The beta test will also include a cross-platform gameplay for PC and PS4, GameSpot reports.

Users must preorder "Street Fighter 5" to be able to enter the beta program. While players are being reminded that the beta may have bugs and glitches, the publisher said the program will be used to create the best possible final version of the product.

The final version of "Street Fighter 5" for PC and PS4 will be out before the end of March 2016, but it will not be available for the Xbox One. The exact release date of the game, however, has yet to be confirmed by Capcom.
