'Street Fighter 5' DLC Character News: Capcom Officially Adds Kolin With New DLC
The character roster of Capcom's video game "Street Fighter 5" continues to expand on both its PC and PlayStation 4 versions with the official inclusion of the Eastern European character named Kolin as a playable character within the game.
With her recent addition to "Street Fighter 5," gamers can now play as Kolin in matches, experience her story, and use her premium battle as well as nostalgia costumes in the video game.
Kolin initially appeared in "Street Fighter 3: New Generation" as a non-playable character. However, according to Capcom's description of Kolin's character, she has become not only an actual playable fighter in "Street Fighter 5," but is also an incredibly formidable foe in combat.
"Kolin works behind the scenes in order to fulfill the Prophecy of Miraha and stop any who dare stand in Gill's way," reads a line from Capcom's description of Kolin. "She is typically calm and collected, but can suddenly fly into a rage when anybody threatens Gill and his plans. Spoiler-alert, she resurrects Nash and uses him as a pawn too, showing she will do anything to achieve her goals," it adds.
Capcom also previously released official footage which introduced her character's origins and detailed her move set. The clip showcased Kolin's ability to manipulate the atmosphere and use the power of ice, allowing her to fight with "deadly icicles" and "frigid blasts." Her skills are based on the Russian martial art of Systema, making her a unique fighter because of how she can use her opponent's momentum against them.
"Street Fighter" gamers can add Kolin to their existing character rosters in "Street Fighter 5" by purchasing the game's Season 2 Character pass for $30. The package not only includes Kolin, but also the first Season 2 downloadable content (DLC) character, Akuma, and four more fighters which are scheduled to join the game's cast of fighters later this year.
"Street Fighter 5" is currently available on the PS4 and PC.
