'Street Fighter 5' Beta 1.02 Update News: Tournament at Gamestop Expo 2015, Beta Receives 1.02 Update But Still Offline

A yearly event that avid gamers patiently wait for is the GameStop Expo and there's a good news for "Street Fighter" fans. Even though the organizers of the expo hardly ever showcase a fighting game, "Street Fighter 5" is reported to make an appearance to the event.

This coming Sept. 2, GameStop Expo will be held once again in the vibrant pulsating city, Las Vegas. Fans who will not be able to join the said event live can still experience it as GameStop just revealed that the expo will be live streamed this year on both their Twitch and YouTube channels, according to Gamespresso.

The livestream will be hosted by Kinda Funny Games which will feature news from the game previews, show floor and demos from top publishers and developers. There will also be interviews with industry leaders, developers and special guests. Tournaments will also take place and included in the lineup is "Street Fighter 5." The head-to-head fighting game produced by Capcom will be taking up a block of the stream schedule, with a game overview set at 1:45 p.m., and an actual tournament to be held at 2 p.m.

The said tournament is going to be an interesting one as it's not always that a "Street Fighter 5" tournament will take place and fans are yet to see one using the current build with Necalli and Vega which has been given a little reveal through a footage uploaded on YouTube as reported by Event Hubs.

In another news by Event Hubs, it has been revealed that an automatic update for the game has dropped on PlayStation 4 and is said to boost the beta's functionality. "Street Fighter 5" beta was officially postponed by Capcom for extended maintenance.

There were no news since then but as of today, PS4 users can now download the "Street Fighter 5" beta 1.02 update. The 1.2GB-sized update will enhance login and matchmaking. Unfortunately, fans of the game will have to wait a little longer as the beta is still not live at this time. But they can be assured that the update only signifies that Capcom is preparing for another launch.
