'Street Fighter V': Capcom Introduces Vega in Latest Video
The countdown to the much-anticipated release of Capcom's latest fighting game "Street Fighter V" continues with Vega's introduction video.
The latest "Street Fighter V" character introduction video (below) showcases Vega's moves and attacks. The gameplay video also features the character's V Skill and V Trigger.
Vega's V Skill is called Matador Turn. The move allows him to evade an attack by turning and then lashing out with his claw. Meanwhile, his V Trigger is a versatile projectile attack and combo extender. He throws a rose at an opponent, charges behind it, and delivers a series of slashes. Vega can deliver the move as either an anti-air from crouch or as an air attack. His V Trigger is called Bloody Kiss, and those interested can see it in action at the 0:32 mark in the video below.
The narcissistic Spanish Ninja has been a mainstay in the "Street Fighter" franchise since his first appearance in "Street Fighter II." According to Capcom Community Manager Matt Edwards, Vega is the most nimble fighter in the title.
In "Street Fighter V," Vega has two fighting modes: with his trademark claw and without. To compensate for sheathing his claw, he has new moves like command grab. But learning to fight without a claw is a must for players who are looking forward to using the character as Vega can lose his claw during a fight.
Vega is the seventh character to receive an introduction video. Capcom previously published introduction videos for Karin, F.A.N.G., Nash, Necalli, Zangief, and Ken. Fans can expect more videos as Capcom continues to create buzz for "Street Fighter V's" upcoming launch.
The wait for "Street Fighter V" is almost over, though, as the title is set to release in a few more days. It will be available starting Tuesday, Feb. 16.
