'Street Fighter V' Rumors: Is Sagat Finally Coming to the Game?
New clue may be pointing to the arrival of the Muay Thai specialist
At long last, "Street Fighter V" players will finally be able to get that Arcade Mode they have been seeking for quite some time now in the near future, and there is a chance that they may be getting yet another coveted addition.
Spotted recently by EventHubs, a screenshot shared by the developers detailed that the new Arcade Mode may be hinting at the addition of a new character.
The screenshot in question can be seen on Capcom's website and it offered a look at the Arcade Mode.
As fans can see, the story path for "Street Fighter I" indicates that players will have to go through four battles, which is interesting because only three characters from that game are actually included in the current installment of the series, EventHubs pointed out.
Those three are Birdie, Ken and Ryu, and in all likelihood, they will be involved in three of the four "Street Fighter I" story battles. That then raises the question of who players will be taking on in the fourth battle.
A look back at the roster of "Street Fighter I" detailed by the Street Fighter Wiki reveals that there are different characters who could be chosen, but the one who really jumps out from the pack is Sagat.
This is not the first time that Sagat has been floated out there as a possible new addition to "Street Fighter V's" roster.
A little while back, an EventHubs user by the name of "Flowtron" suggested that Sagat could be added to the game. "Flowtron" has made some remarkably accurate predictions in the past, so it is entirely possible that this individual has inside knowledge regarding the future plans for the game.
Notably, "Flowtron" hinted that the version of Sagat coming to the game may play differently and that Sakura may even be released along with him.
Adding Sagat would be an excellent way to hype up the upcoming release of the "Arcade Edition" of the fighting game, so it would not be that surprising if the developers went ahead with the move.
For now, Sagat is still not officially coming to "Street Fighter V" but that could very well change in the future.
