'Street Fighter V' Rumors: More Clues Point to Arrival of DLC Character Zeku, Arcade Mode

Zeku rumored to be the final Season 2 DLC character

The rest of 2017 could prove to be eventful for "Street Fighter V" as there may be some significant additions coming to the game.

The first rumored addition is one that fans are actually expecting.

Previously, developers announced that a total of six downloadable content characters will be released over the course of Season 2. Thus far, five of them – Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail and Menat – have already been unveiled, leaving one more waiting in the wings.

That sixth DLC character is expected to be Zeku.

An EventHubs user who goes by the name "Flowtron" predicted Zeku's arrival earlier this year. While Zeku himself is not in the game yet, other characters that "Flowtron" identified as Season 2 DLC additions have already been introduced.

Now, noted data-miner "X-Kira" has also found something that may be hinting at the imminent arrival of Zeku.

After going through the game's files, "X-Kira" came across something related to a character identified only as "Z25." "Z25" is expected to just be a placeholder for Zeku, and what this discovery could mean is that the sixth Season 2 DLC character may be officially revealed sooner rather than later.

Hardly anything is known about Zeku other than his connection to Guy, so he figures to be a character that developers can really flesh out if he is indeed added to the roster.

Aside from what could possibly be a reference to Zeku, "X-Kira" may have found something else that is coming soon to "Street Fighter V."

Over on Twitter, the data-miner shared some images that featured different files reportedly included in the last PS4 patch. Interestingly enough, the new files include references to an Arcade Mode.

Fans have been looking for an Arcade Mode to be introduced for a while now, and if these updated files are anything to go by, then the sought after addition may finally be on its way.

More news about the additions coming to "Street Fighter V" should be made available in the near future.
