Sunday Night Football Live Stream: Watch Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers Online (NFL Playoffs Picture Preview, NBC TV Schedule)
Sunday Night Football will feature the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight as the NFL 2014 regular season wraps up. This game has Playoff implications and both teams will be desperate to claim the win today. The game will start at 8.30 p.m. ET and takes place from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The game will be shown on TV on the NBC network or online through live stream (details below).
This game will be a winner takes all match up for the AFC North division title, and is the perfect way to bring the curtains down on the 2014 regular season.
This division has arguably been the most competitive division in the NFL this year, and in true AFC North fashion, everything comes down to the wire; after 15 games and 4 months of battle it all comes down to this single game.
Even though both teams have already locked down their place in the postseason, there is still a massive amount to play for today, and this will determine each team's potential path through the Playoffs.
Whoever wins today will secure AFC North division bragging rights, but also will receive a home game in the Playoffs.
The Bengals could in fact rise up as far as the number 2 seed spot, which would of course give them a first round bye in the Playoffs - although that would depend on the Denver Broncos losing to the Oakland Raiders - which is not at all likely.
Whoever loses today's game will drop down to the number 5 seed spot and have a more difficult path through the postseason.
Coming into the final week of the regular season, all but two Playoff places have already been secured. However, those that have already secured their postseason berth still have a lot to play for, with all but one current Playoff team still having something to play for this weekend in the NFL.
The New England Patriots are the only team that has nothing to play for this Sunday; they have already guaranteed themselves the AFC East title as well as securing a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the postseason.
Even the Indianapolis Colts, who appear to have nothing much to play for, can still technically gain some advantage from winning today. If they defeat the Tennessee Titans, and the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers play out a tie, then they could secure the number 3 seed placing.
The Denver Broncos also still have something to play for - they have not yet secured the number 2 seeding in the AFC. They will want to win today, because if they lose to the Oakland Raiders, and the Bengals defeat the Steelers then the Bengals would steal the No. 2 seed spot, dumping the Broncos into the first round of the Playoffs. Most expect the Broncos to defeat the lowly Raiders though, and if they do that then they are guaranteed the second seeding and the first round bye for the Playoffs that comes with it.
In the NFC meanwhile, there are no seed placements guaranteed yet coming into the final weekend of the regular season. There are still four teams in the race for the number 1 seed, and five teams are vying for the number 2 seed.
The Dallas Cowboys could gain the top seed placing if things go their way today, and at the very worst they would have to settle for a number 3 seeding.
The number 4 seed will be between the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons. The pair of course will be playing one another today in a winner takes all match up.
The Seattle Seahawks are favorites to take the number 1 seed, and they will do so with a win over the St Louis Rams. However, if they fail to gain the win they need then the door opens for the Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.
The Bengals and the Steelers will start the game at 8.30 p.m. ET and the game can be watched on TV on the NBC network or online through live stream by clicking here.
