Super Bowl 50: Bruno Mars to sing during halftime show?
Bruno Mars may once again perform in front of a large crowd of NFL fans as he has reportedly been invited to sing during the halftime show of Super Bowl 50.
The famous singer gave a spectacular performance during Super Bowl XLVIII's halftime show, and he just might be invited back for the Super Bowl 50. The NFL has invited Bruno Mars to sing once again for the big event at the end of the season, according to The Los Angeles Times.
The halftime show performance will reportedly be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 7. For that event, Mars was also requested to "curate" the show, and host guest appearances and cameos, the Bleacher Report details.

NFL media events director Sarah Moll described Mars' Super Bowl performance last year.
"Myself and our producer, Ricky Kirshner, were both personal fans of Bruno and had seen him in concert and knew what he could do," Bleacher report quotes the director. "And it was a lot of just telling folks here and getting folks excited about Bruno and taking them to shows and letting them see what he could do. And that's kind of what got it going."
Based on data gathered by Nielsen, Bruno Mars' performance last year gained 115 million views, but Katy Perry trumped that with 121 million viewers for 2015. However, Mars has become the featured vocalist on Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk," which remained on the Billboard's Hot 100 chart for more than three months, the report explains.
Should the reports turn out to be true, Mars would not be the only artist to have the privilege of performing twice in a Super Bowl halftime show. Worth mentioning is Gloria Estefan, who appeared three times in the Super Bowl. Justin Timberlake and Nelly appeared twice in musical acts. Carol Channing also performed two times.
As of now, both Bruno Mars and the NFL have not yet released their comments regarding the upcoming Super Bowl 50 halftime show performance.
