'Super Mario Maker' game review: Fun game for the family, Amiibo toys supported, cat hand building levels
Veteran gamers who have been fans of the iconic video game character Super Mario ever since will most likely feel nostalgic with Nintendo's latest game offering, "Super Mario Maker." The game, which is going to be available for Wii U system, will let players experience what it's like to build their own levels that Super Mario will need to venture through, and not only that, they can also share it to others too. The game is basically all about creativity and a whole lot of fun.
"Super Mario Maker" is still weeks away from official release but in order to generate reviews, Nintendo gave out the game to members of the press. In fact, those who have the game on hand early in the release stage have already uploaded a number of clever and mind-bending levels that anyone can try out.
In an article written by Erik Kain for Forbes, he shared his own preview of the game. He said that he has not "delved that deep into Nintendo's level-building Mario game yet, but what I've played so far is remarkable. It's like a backstage pass to Nintendo!" He also articulated that he got to share the fun with his kids which makes it even better than the traditional platform video game.

Gamers will also get to see Sonic, Splatoon and Pit amiibo costumes in "Super Mario Maker" as noted by Destructoid. All the amiibo are supported and allow character skins that have some special animations. All these fun costumes will also be made available once the player has completed the "100 Mario Challenge", a mode where gamers are given 100 lives to clear a set number of courses created by other players.
At this point, "Super Mario Maker" contains a lot of features and modes that will really let players enjoy their time especially in creating levels. One particular thing that will really catch the attention of everyone is the hand that is superimposed on the screen while creating levels on the Game Pad. The hand emulates the movement of the player like placing blocks, enemies and other barriers. Game Informer remarked that by clicking the thumbstick, players can change the hand to be a number of various things. There's even a cat paw. Quite amusing!
"Super Mario Maker" launches on Wii U on Sept. 11.
