Another Super Smash Bros 4 sneak peek was hinted at as game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed Sonic the Hedgehog's attack move in a picture.

"Sonic's standard attack is also known as PPK. He finishes off his move with a side kick," said Sakurai in the caption of a screencap of the move.

The PPK stands for punch, punch, kick. Sonic hits them with a right, then a left, and then a strong kick.

Nintendo announced that Sonic would be returning to the series last week.

This will be Sonic's second time in the Smash Bros series after first appearing in Super Smash Brawl for the Wii.

Both Sonic and Mega Man are in the game as the only third party non-Nintendo characters. In the last installment of the game, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid was with Sonic as the other non-Nintendo representative. There has been no word as to whether Snake will be coming back to the series.
Super Smash Bros. 4 is taking arguably three of the biggest video game characters of all time, Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man, and putting them in the same game as "co-stars," said a Nintendo executive.

Masahiro Sakurai posted about the role of the three stars in the next game and seemed just as excited about them as the gaming community.

"The trio as joint co-stars. Who is the strongest of them all?!" he pondered through the Wii U's Miiverse.

Some consider Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man to be the "trinity" of gaming as these three have been waging their own wars on different consoles and in sales for over 20 years. Now for the first time, gamers can actually have them duke it out.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, and the Villager.

The game will arrive on the Wii U and 3DS sometime in 2014.
