'Super Smash Bros. 4' Cloud Strife DLC, Final Streaming Confirmed on Nintendo Direct

It's been quite a wait for "Super Smash Bros. 4" players and now, they will finally get more release details for the Cloud Strife DLC. According to Venture Capital Post, a schedule for the final streaming of the game has already been announced. It will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. PT (5 p.m. ET) during the Nintendo Direct.

HNGN detailed that the livestream will be hosted by director of "Super Smash Bros.," Masahiro Sakurai. During the livestream, Nintendo is expected to unveil new non-Nintendo characters, including Cloud Strife, who is a popular character of PlayStation's "Final Fantasy VII" role-playing game. A previous report from Polygon also noted that downloadable content such as the Chocobo costumes for Mii Fighters will be revealed alongside the new characters.

Yibada noted that two new fighters are expected to come along, together with two new additional stages and probably a Nintendo NX version of the game. And if fans could still remember, the Japanese company opened a "Fighter Ballot" back in April. Through it, gamers can vote on a character they want to see in the game. The poll closed last October and now those who have been waiting for the results will finally know who the winners are. There's a possibility that the new characters that will be added are the characters chosen by fans.

However, there are reports saying that Yacht Games denied rumors about Shovel Knight being part of the upcoming DLC.
