Super Smash Bros 4 New Prism Tower Stage Picture Released

The new prism tower stage for the 3DS version made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. 4 director Masahiro Sakurai's pic of the day series earlier today.

He actually released two different pictures that show the level at two different angles. See them here.

"Here's the prism stage for the 3DS version! The battle begins on ground level right in front of the tower," said Sakurai with the first pic. "You'll have to climb the tower by securing footholds like these moving platforms."

This level may or may not end up appearing in the Wii U version. As for now, it is only confirmed for the 3DS.

Sakurai also posted up a new picture yesterday that featured characters Mario Fox and Pit with Andross making a return as an Assist trophy.

The level featured in the picture is the Super Mario Galaxy Stage that has been seen in previous images released from the game. It also appears to be taken from the Wii U version.

Sakurai's pics of the day from Tuesday and Wednesday featured characters Mario, Sonic and Link.

Tuesday's picture showed off the 3DS version of the game and displayed what Mario and Link would look with and without their outlines.

"Here's a comparison of characters with and without their outlines on the 3DS version," said Sakurai. "They also give off a different impression in 3D, so customize the look however you like."

Wednesday's pic of the day featured Sonic using a giant attack item on his opponent.

"Here's a giant attack item, the Ore Club! It's made of minerals mined on the mountain of the gods," he said. "This bulky weapon can even unleash tornadoes."

Super Smash Bros 4 is expected to launch for the 3DS and Wii U later this year.
