Super Smash Bros 4 Stages: Sonic the Hedgehog's Windy Hill Level Revealed in 'Pic of the Day'
A new Super Smash Bros 4 stage for Sonic the Hedgehog, has been revealed by director Masahiro Sakurai for the upcoming game.
The level is called Windy Hill and features a giant windmill on the right side of the stage. According to Sakurai, the windmill will constantly be turning throughout the match and could potentially knock the characters off the screen. The windmill has platforms for the players to stand on as it turns. See the preview image here.
"The giant wind mill in the right-hand side of Windy Hill. It keeps on turning even though it can't fit in the screen, so you'll find yourself in trouble if you're on it for too long," said Sakurai on the Nintendo Miiverse.
Last month this stage was hinted at when Sonic: Lost World came out in Japan.
"Pic of the day. Sonic: Lost World is out in Japan today! The Windy Hill area can also be seen in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U…but I can't tell you all the details yet!" he said to the Miiverse for his daily pic of the day post.
In the screen shot, it shows Sonic and Mario facing off in a very much Sonic-looking background of grassy hills and plains. A picture of the Sonic level can be seen here.
In the last installment of SSB for the Wii in 2008, "Brawl," they included classic Sonic level, Green Hill Zone.
Another Super Smash Bros 4 sneak peek was hinted earlier this month as Sakurai revealed Sonic the Hedgehog's attack move in a picture.
"Sonic's standard attack is also known as PPK. He finishes off his move with a side kick," said Sakurai in the caption of a screencap of the move. See the picture here.
The game will arrive on the Wii U and 3DS sometime in 2014.
