'Supergirl' News, Spoilers: 'Supergirl' and 'The Flash' Crossover Finally Happening
Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) are finally going to meet in the upcoming "Supergirl" and "The Flash" crossover.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed the news about the crossover, and the website mentioned that Gustin will be guesting on the March 28 episode of the CBS superhero series.
Of course, no plot details have been released yet, but what is definite is that fans are super excited to see Supergirl and Flash team up. "We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl —The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!" Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, executive producers of the two show.
Berlanti and Kreisberg said that the crossover was what they wanted since "Supergirl" started. Also, fans have been demanding for the episode to happen, and the two are thankful to all the people behind both shows who made the crossover possible. "It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support," the executive producers said.
Since "The Flash" and "Arrow" have already made several crossover episodes, fans wonder if there's also a chance to feature the Green Arrow in "Supergirl." The three superheroes seem to be living on the same timeline, so there might be a chance for a "Supergirl" and "Arrow" crossover. However, this also will require a lot of talks to be done, and viewers just have to wait and see if it will also happen.
Meanwhile, Superman's young alter ego, Kal-El, is also scheduled to appear in the upcoming episode of "Supergirl," as previously reported. He will be played by Daniel DiMaggio, and he'll appear in Kara's dream after she gets attacked by a parasitic alien.
The synopsis of the next episode, which is titled "For the Girl Who Has Everything," reads, "Kara's friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission."
Watch "Supergirl" season 1 episode 13 this Monday, Feb. 8, on CBS.
