'Supergirl' Series Spoilers: Kara Visits Superman's Fortress Of Solitude in Feb. 29 Episode
Will Supergirl finally meet her cousin Superman soon? If the answer to the question is to be based on the upcoming episode of the show,"Solitude," there is a reason for Supergirl's and Superman's fans to hope so since CBS has recently released promotional photos of Kara, aka Supergirl, in her cousin's fortress. This may even jumpstart the chances of the two Kryptonite superheroes' meeting on the show.
Titled simply as "Solitude," the show's Feb. 29 episode will feature Supergirl heading to Superman's Fortress of Solitude as she battles a new enemy. The synopsis of the upcoming episode goes:
"Kara travels to Superman's Fortress of Solitude in hopes of learning how to defeat Indigo (Laura Vandervoort), a dangerous being who can transport via the Internet and who has a connection to Kara's past. Also, James's relationship with Lucy reaches a crossroads on 'Supergirl.'"
In his interview last month, Tom Welling, who played Superman in "Smallville," said that nobody from the "Supergirl" series had invited him to guest his character on their show amidst the growing number of rumors that he was to do a guest appearance there.
The former Smallville actor also said that in the event that the show would, indeed, invite him to appear on the show clad in Superman's blue and red tights, he would need a little notice.
Meanwhile, excitement continues to build as well for the "The Flash" crossover episode on "Supergirl," which is finally happening on the small screen on March 28. For the very first time, Melissa Benoist's Supergirl and Grant Gustin's The Flash characters are finally meeting in one epic episode that will surely keep the fans of both TV series abuzz and wanting for more after the episode has been shown.
In a released statement, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, executive producers of "Supergirl," thanked Gustin for his participation on the show despite his hectic schedule and for granting the overwhelming requests of the fans to make the crossover happen.
"We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support," they said.
